April Fools...and bad news...

Happy April Fools Day!!!

(yes, the header is supposed to be like that)

Now...for the bad news part. This is what we have reason to be UNhappy about...

"Some protesters spend more than five days a week picketing outside Planned Parenthood's...offices. But what they might not realize is that their actions have raised thousands of dollars for the organization.

Through Planned Parenthood's Pledge-a-Picket program, those protesters are helping the organization more than they're hurting it. That's because donors have agreed to make a pledge of financial support to Planned Parenthood for every protester that shows up outside.

...

"If there are a lot of picketers, we get a lot more money for our services here."

Last year, the Pledge-A-Picket program brought in more than $20,000 for Planned Parenthood in Virginia. [The] money is used to help low-income patients get preventative reproductive health care services.

"The intention was to pare down the picketers so they wouldn't be as intimidating to the women who are actually trying to seek reproductive preventative health care services."

[And anti-abortionist here] says that the success of the Pledge-A-Picket program means the protesters are doing something right. "We're having an effect. If they're trying to seek money for us being out there, that probably means they're losing money in another sense."

Sad, isn't it? Planned Parenthood now have donor-people that will donate money for each protestor out there. In other words, by protesting in front of the Planned Parenthood building, people are now pretty much making money for their cause...I guess all we can do is pray harder. (sorry, I had to cut out some of the words...)

You know, Vivi. The battle is really about changing hearts to save lives. I don't believe the money being gained by Planned Parenthood will stand in the way of God changing the hearts of those folks inside that building. But I agree with you....it is very, very sad. ;(

Extremely sad and depressing. But we have an amazing God and as long as Christians continue to stand up and fight the battle is not lost.
