if you look at the downside, you'd mention this is 2 weeks later...

...but look at the bright side! (that I'm posting at all :P)

I wish I could say that I have a perfectly logical, understandable, and acceptable explanation for my absence...such as:

"I've been so incredibly busy that I haven't been on my laptop for a whole 2 weeks!"

or

"All my free time has been spent in prayer, fasting, and folding laundry in preparation for Holy Week and Easter"

or

"I've written like 5 different posts with tons of pictures, I just haven't had time to post them" (which is stupid, because pushing the 'publish' button takes about 2 seconds)

...but, alas (as they always say in books), my real reasons are not quite so noble. :D

The main reason was that I was too lazy to think up a post. My life was interesting enough...but who really wants to read about how I got new silver sparkly sandals from Target??
(that actually is true. And in case you're one of the few people that *does* care about that (yes, that's actually correct grammar. Gab would be proud. :P), here's what they look like)

I was too busy relaxing, sleeping in, and playing Draw Something on my iPod (this game is addicting. please get it and find my by typing in my username 'vivi coulter' :D). Oh yeah, plus I'm reading THG. Again. (desperate times call for desperate measures...)

But here I am! Back into swimming, school, orchestra, and normal busy life. And I LOVE IT. :) I don't care for school much (I just want that to be done), but I like my normal routine...know what's going on, and what'll happen each day. And lounging on the couch is not part of it. Plus I realized how much I missed swimming. You go for two weeks without exercising (except one time that left me sore for days), and you'd miss it too. ;)

Easter was awesome. Still is. After all, it's gonna be Easter for the next...what, 50 days? Don't you love how you even have an extra ten days to make up for all that lost sweet-eating time in Lent? *sigh* Life is good.

In case you're interested in stuff like this, here are a couple Easter-y pictures for you. Starting right before Easter Vigil when we ran outside and had a messy photo shoot. ;)

(the weird stuff that happens after the 4th photo)
(pretend Josie has her eyes open)
chocolate-covered peeps. who knew, right?
i had to get the bunny out. i mean, it was kinda his special day...(p. s. if you have yet to learn his name, check here for an intro)
We went to the baseball game to cheer on the hoos (he had too much popcorn, apparently. it does things to ya...).
(5 brownie points if you can find his football egg! :D)
(um. yeah.)

Anyway, we had a fantastic Easter Day. I can only hope that the next 46 days are half that good. :)

Christ is Risen! PRAISE THE LORD.

How was your Easter? How many jelly beans did you eat? (be honest. I'll answer first and say I didn't count, and I don't think any of us really want to know. I'm just hoping that they'll get swum off in the next...month maybe?)

Happy Birthday, Bug!!

It's Bug's birthday!!! And...it's Good Friday. Wonderful, right?

Anyway...poor little Bug is going to have a lot of his birthday postponed to Easter Sunday. He'll get his gifts today, but a cake and party (if he has one) will have to be saved since it's Good Friday.

But...this is for you, my little Bug-bug:

I love you! You're the cutest person I've ever seen...and I can say that honestly. I love getting to know you, learning your language, and watching you grow up (
which you're doing SO fast). It's hard to beli
eve you're turning 2...

Always remember that your big sis "Bee-bee" loves you...that's something that will never change.

AMAZING--You went from this...

...to this. ;)

You're my favorite brother--LOVE YOU!

(P. S. We're thinking maybe, now that he's 2, he deserves a real name...so watch out. One day one'll probably show up. Oh...and sorry if the pictures are way messed up. I schedule-posted this (we're doing a internet fast today), so I can't check them and fix them...)

And for Good Friday:

Have a blessed rest of your Holy Week!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

1. It's Holy Week. 2. It's Holy Thursday. 3. Easter is coming up on SUNDAY!

I know that a lot of people would put Christmas time as the best time of the year. Presents, Christmas trees, decorations, and snow...all very nice things. But I think that with Easter, it's easier to focus on the true meaning. Christmas has a ton of distractions...too many. I love Christmas too, but the best and most wonderful and most GLORIOUS time of the year is Easter.

So...I revised the words to the song! See how you like them. :P (BEWARE: some of them are really...uhh...weird. :D)

It's the most wonderful time of the year

With the kids all egg-hunting

And indigo buntings that all chirp and squeal

“It's the most wonderful time of the year!”

It's the hap-happiest season of all

With easterly greetings and gay happy meetings

When friends come to call

It's the hap- happiest season of all

There'll be parties for hosting

And sweet things for toasting

And faces all filled with a glow

There'll amazing stories

And tales of the glories of

Those Easters long, long ago

It's the most wonderful time of the year

There'll be flowers all springing

And hearts will be singing

Full of Easter cheer

It's the most wonderful time of the year

It's the most wonderful time of the year

It's the most wonderful time of the year

Yes, It's the most wonderful time

Oh, It's the most wonderful time

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Holy Week!

I didn't know if it was appropriate to say "happy Holy Week", so I didn't. Holy Week isn't necessarily..."happy"...so...uhh...yeah. ;)

Anyway, it's holy week! I changed my blog design. It's kind of...dreary, but I'll change it for Easter.

We're also off of school this week. It's our spring break...YAY! An ENTIRE WEEK off of school...how exciting!

So anyway...even though I don't know if I should say "happy Holy Week", I know I can say Happy Palm Sunday. So...

HAPPY PALM SUNDAY and HAVE A GREAT HOLY WEEK!
