prom pictures. :)

So I put together this video of our prom photo shoot this morning. :) Gab and I went together with my friend, Hannah. It was yesterday night, and my ankles and shins are still aching.
But it was awesome. Hope you like it!

(5 brownie points if you know what movie our 'princess waving' is from)

26 April 2012

that orange UVA hat...:D

It's Bug's favorite thing to wear. And so, it only seemed right that, for his birthday this past Sunday, we make him a baseball cake.
Yes, our little baby bug had his 3rd birthday. Here are some great pictures to sum him and his special day up. :)
aren't his eyes *lovely*?
sorry, had to 'erase' his name that we put on the rim. that's why it looks foggy in all the hat pictures. :D
notice Gab and mom's scared looks when i hit the pinata. :D
The little blonde girl is 'A' from Pure Joy. We had their family over for his 'party'. :)
please excuse how weird i look in all of them.
And Gab and I were all fancied up because we went to the swim team banquet before. :)
I think he had a wonderful birthday. :) Happy late birthday again, Bug!! I can't believe you're 3.

08 December 2011

my dear wonderful people...

...sorry for the lack of posts lately. I was thinking about changing around my blog (i. e. title, design, etc...) And I'll probably change the design. But I'll keep the title. For now. ;)

Anyway...Christmas decorating has been going on around here. LOTS of it. :D Here's a little of what's been going on (omitting the crazy dancing, coffee-filter snowflakes, and the flying tissued boxes...sorry, inside joke. :P)

18 July 2011

Wow. That was fun.

And no, I don't mean *just* fun...I mean fun as in "incredibly awesome, wonderfully exciting, and altogether fantastic". Guys, this conference was AMAZING.

Ok, so it looks kind of boring from the link I put up here, maybe...and, I'll admit, the only speaker/singer I had ever heard of before that was there was Audrey Assad...but still. The talks were meant for teens which means they were more fun, more relatable, and more interesting. For any of you Catholics--YOU. SHOULD. GO.

I really didn't take many pictures. In fact, I think I took 3 in all. And all of them were of the stage when no one was on it. I just didn't feel like getting out my iPod with people all around me, and music playing, and stuff like that. So I didn't.

But, for me, the weekend was WONDERFUL. Literally. Full of wonder. Guys, have you ever just really thought how our God is so big, so powerful, and so...modern? I mean, I guess to some people he seems like an old-fashioned god--you know, one that only grandmas and stuff worship. But he's not. And I think that's one of the things that really hit me this weekend. He's a God that loves any kind of worship. Not just hymns and stuff. So we can sing as loud as we can (even if we're horrible singers), we can dance to Christian rock music, and we can have fun while we're still praising Our Lord. I was thinking while the music was playing how God might be smiling down on us. You know, kind of just looking down and smiling and nodding. And how his love was just like radiating through our voices and the music. That's what it was. It was God. And it. Was. Awesome.

So just one more thing I don't want you to forget. And if you agree, feel free to comment and tell me so. ;)

14 July 2011

who won?

Last night's meet was exhausting. (not that meets are even *not* exhausting, but...) But it was fun. The points were added up and here's the ending score:

FLST - 468
FSBC - 419

So we won!

Another thing--Gab and I are headed to Atlanta to go to a Catholic conference there. We're super excited, but we won't be back till late Sunday night, probably. So I won't be posting till at least then. We're leaving...in an hour in a half. So, farewell till we get back! :)

31 May 2011

Guess What!?!

So it's been a while. Ok, yeah, not a while while, but long enough for it to seem like a while. :P Where have I been? Well, I have some news.

First of all, we went to DC! WASHINGTON DC. Yes, the capital! And it was really fun. ;) I'll be posting tons of pictures up soon, probably day by day so that the post won't be too long. It was kind of like a mini-vacation. A fun, four day trip. Starting on Saturday and ending today. We did so much. We've been there before, but that was years ago. So this year we went to the places we never got to (except we went to 1 of the same...). Again, pictures (lots) coming soon. ;)

Second of all, the news I got while we were there. I GOT INTO YOUTH ORCHESTRA! I don't know what to think. I'm excited, yes, but I'm a little scared. Because I know it'll be really hard. But still, I'm excited. Thanks for the prayers for the audition. They must've helped. :D

So. Be back soon and see ya later!

20 March 2011

Spring!

It's finally SPRING!! Hope y'all have a wonderful 1st day of spring!

19 March 2011

Happy....

...lots of stuff!! ;)

Today is, first of all, my dear Josie's birthday. A note to you, Josie:

I love you! Love your smile, love your laugh
(except when it gets out of hand :P), love your hair...love you! You are a very unique person. I could travel the whole world and never find anyone like you. :)

Joyful. This is one of the things that make you so special. :P

Outgoing. (this is good) You're social and easy to make friends with...very important quality, my dear SillyGal.

Sweet. You can be so sweet if you want to. Your smile is sunshine...remember that. :)

Intelligent. Yes, you're smart whether you know it or not. You're also a wonderful reader and you actually like reading!! That's something to be proud of...

Energetic. Anyone that knows you will tell you this. ;)

Now some pictures that describes you best...

This is who knows how long ago...you were so cute!!
This picture is says you all over.
This is how you and I are alike...:P
Yeah, you're cute, whether you admit it or not...
This one speaks volumes. :D

Ok, so that was a Happy Birthday for Josie...

This is the other happy...Purim starts tonight (well, I think it does...when I Google it, some places say other things, but I'll just post this today)!!! Sundown on March 19th is the feast of Esther! We're not jewish or anything...we don't even celebrate it, but we L-O-V-E this song. It's another one from our guys, the Maccabeats. Please listen to it!! It's great! (again...I've been beaten to posting this...:P)

And one more thing. This is *also* the feast of Saint Joseph!

Happy Feast Day foster-father of Our Lord!

16 March 2011

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Dear Mom,

Happy Birthday!! LOVE YOU! I want you to know how much you mean to me. :) You are a very, very special person in my life.

5 things I love about you:

1. Your sense of humor. Ok, yes...I admit, it can sometimes go a little...umm...overboard, but I love that you have one and that you know how to use it. ;)

2. Your willingness to talk (almost) whenever we want to. That's what Moms are for...right?

3. All the traits that you and I share...believe it or not, I can see you in me a lot. I see myself doing stuff that we would typically characterize you to do.

4. All the work you're willing to do--even the simple things that really matter: Driving us to Gators (for that matter, driving us all over town!),
making 3 meals a day, playing a game when we all know you don't feel like it...

5. Your devotion to your faith, and mostly your God. That is something that is definitely too rare in America these days...so that is something to be proud of. If I had to pick one thing that I wanted to be like you in, that would probably be it.
Mom, we all love you! Keep up the good work!

~Vivi~

EDIT: Bug-bug is very sick...he's thrown up twice today...please pray he'll feel better!

15 March 2011

Official Opening...:)

So lots of you found this before I had the chance to open it...but oh, well. :) Anyway, what do ya think? Do you like it? What do you think of my title??

Please leave a comment and tell me what you think! I'd love to hear!
