Goodbye, 2011.

Hello,
2012.

27 December 2011

it's stiillll christmas!

How was your Christmas, everyone?

Oh, excuse me.

How *is* your Christmas, everyone?

After all, it's still Christmas, right? Maybe not Christmas Day, but definitely still Christmas.

While we were at our Pappap's house this weekend, we got a "Merry Christmas!" as a good bye, and then a "Oh, no, it's actually not Christmas anymore. So Happy New Year!". And Gab and I just looked at each other.
Really?!?!

Since when has Christmas ended after December 25th?

And who says that after that day, it's over? The government? The calendars? The factories that make the calendars?

So. Just thought I'd clear that up, as it's been bothering me since yesterday afternoon. :)

Oh, and (I know this is completely out of the point, but...) have you seen this video yet? It's fantastic.

And, according to USA Today, this guy's only 16! Yeah, I know. We were all amazed that he actually sounds like a guy! Imagine that! Younger then Justin Bieber, and sounds twice as mature. Amazing. :P

Anyway...lots of love, have fun on the rest of your break, and...

MERRY *CHRISTMAS*!

25 December 2011

have a very blessed Christmas!

“Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

Merry Christmas, everyone!

I love you!

22 December 2011

the things i've learned in the past couple days...

I've gotten older and wiser in the past couple days. Here are a couple pieces of wisdom that I'd like to share with you...

First, if you stay up for 19 hours in 1 day, you will most likely wake up at 10:30 the next morning.

Second, saving some of your Christmas shopping for a couple days before Christmas is never a good idea.

Third, there's such thing as "falling gracefully" down the steps.

Fourth, I found out what you get when there's a baby crying loudly in the back of the church during mass. Wanna know? A Mass distraction! hahaha...(no, I didn't make that up. honestly.)

Fifth, a baby brother, younger sister, and a typewriter don't go together that well.

Sixth, when Harry Potter's in the house, you can't expect to get too much done...

Seventh, sausage, cheese, and Bisquick go really well together. Might have to post the recipe for that...

Eighth, sisters that find Christmas break as a great time to do *extra* school are nuts.

Ninth, some people actually get bored during Christmas break. (I am astounded.)

And lastly, and most importantly, guys do *not* look flattering in tights. ('course I already knew that, but I just got a friendly reminder yesterday night...)

So. I hope you feel wiser now!

Happy 1st day of winter!

17 December 2011

happy saturday!

Thanks so much for the prayers! I had a pretty good meet (besides the fact that I lost my sweatpants :(...)

So happy weekend, happy break, and happy saturday!

And enjoy the video I made for Christmas. ;) (sorry for the bad quality and stuff.)

16 December 2011

tomorrow, being sick, all that other stuff...

I have a swim meet tomorrow.

And I'm sick today.

Bad. Very bad.

I feel really awful...please pray I'll feel better and be able to swim well tomorrow afternoon! I don't know what I have, but it makes me feel miserable. And I have a 200 IM, 200 free, and 100 breast stroke tomorrow. So I'm gonna need a lot of prayer.

Thanks!

Love you guys. ;)

15 December 2011

because my break has started...

My history chat is done. Which can only mean 1 thing.

My CHRISTMAS BREAK has started! I have a lot planned. ;)

But anyway...since Hanukkah is on...Tuesday, I think. And since these guys are great...

11 December 2011

it's that time of year...

...when...

1. your skin gets so dry you look like an elephant. ok, not really, but...

2. your hands start literally cracking. (I won't provide a picture of my poor hands for your
sake...:P)

3. your room looks like a blizzard. except that
blizzards have snow. and your room doesn't.

4. your house looks heavenly. it's seriously
beautiful around here. we did more then usual,
I think.

5. your windows
and your kitchen
cabinets are completely covered in coffee-filter snowflakes. (guys, these are really really pretty. believe it or not)

6. you're dad calls this sunday "pink sunday". yikes, dad...

7. and you're thinking, dreaming, singing, talking, and worrying about Christmas.

so. *just* to remind you. I want you to remember that...

Jesus is the reason for the season!

Happy Gaudete Sunday!

saturday morning daybook - december 10

hosted by Jo March
Date...December 10, 2011
Starting time...12:13 PM
Mood...content. for now. :P
Outside my window...It's absolutely freezing. But (surprisingly) we still haven't gotten snow, except that one in October. It's so weird...
I'm thinking...about my day...
I'm currently reading...Henry V by William Shakespeare. Not his most interesting play, but it's for Lit, so...
I'm listening to...me chewing gum. :D
I'm wearing...sweatpants, jammie shirt. What get dressed when you're not going anywhere? Plus I'm doing my laundry. ;)
I'm looking forward to...today. It's SATURDAY!
I'm hoping...that I'll be satisfied with my research paper when I turn it in...
Yesterday, I...watched Spy Kids 4 (it was in redbox), did school, stayed home until I went out to watch 2 concerts. Yes, 2. It was...interesting. I had 1 sister in 1, and another in the other. Except I only got to watch 1 sister perform, 'cause we had to leave the other's, 'cause we thought we'd miss the first one...I know. It's very complicated.
I'm hungry for...nothing really.
The song stuck inside my head is...the Hallelujah Chorus. I seriously have no idea why.
I love...quiet weekends. YES.
I loathe...my extremely messy room. I'm not a neat freak, but...still. It's almost concerning. Christmas stuff (of course our room has the attic that holds all the Christmas decorations), clothes from Atlanta, more clothes, school stuff...awful.
This week, my goal is...to clean my room. :P
Did I meet last week's goal?...don't think I did this last week...
Ending time...12:20 PM

08 December 2011

my dear wonderful people...

...sorry for the lack of posts lately. I was thinking about changing around my blog (i. e. title, design, etc...) And I'll probably change the design. But I'll keep the title. For now. ;)

Anyway...Christmas decorating has been going on around here. LOTS of it. :D Here's a little of what's been going on (omitting the crazy dancing, coffee-filter snowflakes, and the flying tissued boxes...sorry, inside joke. :P)
