I can now relate to the problems of those living back then: running up and down to use the downstairs microwave, using the stove way more often, and trying to eat colder things more often.
What do you think? Would you use it anyway?
(it says "Do Not Use Microwave (on pain of death)")
I don't think I'll risk it...

Oooh...I know exactly how you feel. For about a year we didn't have one at our old house. It was awful!
I wrote the on pain of death!!
I know exactly how you feel, because right now we don't have a microwave either. A few months ago I burned some chocolate in it (I know, not the smartest thing to do) and we could not get rid of the awful smell. So bye-bye microwave. I'm actually getting used to life without it.
By the way, if you don't remember who "Polly" is, think Germany.
Wow...i don't think I could get used to life without a microwave. :P
Oh...right! Gab told me once that's who you were...but I didn't get it. :P Thanks!
