yikes...it's already sunday...

Wow. A whole week already gone. Since last week.

When I write it down, it doesn't look strange.

But it still feels weird. :P

I've been gone. In Atlanta. Since Wednesday. It was awesome. But to catch you up on today....

Date...November 27, 2011
Starting time...8:40 PM
Mood...*exhausted*
Outside my window...it's pitch black
I'm thinking...about the last week, about band hero karaoke, about my cousins...
I'm currently reading...Much Ado About Nothing. For lit. Actually, I haven't really started the real story yet. But I will.
What I've been reading non-stop for the past week (and finished yesterday), though, is The Hunger Games Trilogy. The Hunger Games, then Catching Fire, then Mockingjay. They were AMAZING. Kinda gruesome. Sometimes. But still really good...(P. S. there's a lot of killing, so...) Oh, and the ending's kinda troubling. Whatever. I'll let you read them before I get into that. :P
I'm listening to...Bug talking. People eating ice cream.
I'm wearing...my Rooted T-shirt, jeans.
I'm looking forward to...Christmas...sleep...being done with my research paper...
I'm hoping...that I'll be able to finish half of my RD by tuesday.
Yesterday, I...played rock band with my cousins, played Words with Friends with them (I should tell y'all about that), read a ton of Mockingjay (and finished it), stayed up really late...
I'm hungry for...nothing. I'm eating!
The song stuck inside my head is...Picture to Burn by Taylor Swift.
I love...my cousins. I already miss them...:(
I loathe...coming back to a VERY busy week of school. Plus my seating audition next week. And turning in my research paper soon...AHHHH!!!
This week, my goal is...finish half of my research paper.
Did I meet last week's goal?...didn't do this last week...
Ending time...8:46 PM

Happy Birthday, Gab!

I know it's late.

And I know this isn't a very elaborate post.

But I just wanted to say...

HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY, Gab!

I love you! You're the best big-sis ever. :P

Mood...a little nervous...
Outside my window...it's sunny. and cold.
I'm thinking...about the meet today.

I'm listening to...the toaster, Dad and Bug arguing about how to pronounce 'Donut Man'. Any of y'all use to watch that show?
I'm wearing...jammies with a sweatshirt. ;)
I'm looking forward to...TOMORROW. (Gab's birthday!)
I'm hoping...that today will go ok!
Yesterday, I...watched Christmas with the Kranks (it was...interesting), went to practice, did some of my research paper, and dreaded today. :P
I'm hungry for...nothing...
The song stuck inside my head is...'Love You Like a Love Song' cover by Cimorelli...
I love...birthday's!

of people whose faces go down in history...

Imagine this:

You're 2nd son was just born

You're moving into a new house

And you decide you want a portrait done to remember the whole thing. But no, not of you. Not of your newborn son. Of your wife. (pretend you are a guy for 2 seconds. :P)

Later on you die. But little do you know that this portrait of your wife (named Lisa...imagine that!) would become one of the most famous portraits of all time.
And that people would go down in history contemplating why your wife didn't have eyebrows.

Ok, ok. Yes, you've guessed. We're studying Leonardo da Vinci in history. Oh, yeah...and the Mona Lisa.

Gab and I were cracking up yesterday thinking about the poor Lisa Gherardini who didn't know that this painting of her face would be one of those things that 'everybody' knows about.

Seriously! Think about it.

What if a photographer that took your picture got famous, and all-of-a-sudden your back-to-school pictures are hanging up in people's living rooms across America?

Ok, so it's not exactly the same thing, but you get the point. I kinda feel bad for this lady...whenever they criticize her portrait, people are almost criticizing her.

At least she doesn't have to worry about it.

I just worry about it for her. :P

Anyway...

I got a 400 IM on Saturday. (+ a 200 IM, 200 breast stroke, 100 free, and 100 back).

So PLEASE pray.

And unfortunately I have to worry about it...'cause I'm not Lisa Gherardini, and I'm still alive. :)

P. S. I just realized this is my 100th post...weird...

11 November 2011

11-11-11

Awesome, huh?

November 11th, 2011.

Totally cool. :P

I know I've been gone lately...I've been really busy (read: school, swimming, orchestra, school...) lately. But I just had to post on this special occasion. ;)

So if you read this today and you have a blog, you should join me and list 11 things that make you happy. :) Just for today. Because the next time this sort of thing will happen is 12/12/12. And that's in over a year.

1. Obviousness. Yes, I really do. Most of the time. Here's what made my day a couple days ago:

2. Movie Quotes. Gab just told me, "You're hair looks...exciting!" (megamind)...no, that's not a good thing. :P Oh, and movie clips. This is what we've been watching over and over...

3. Hot chocolate. There's been a lot of that around here lately.

(no, that's not mine. :P kinda wish it was, though...)

4. Fridays!!! (friday, friday, gotta get down on friday...)

5. Fall. The leaves are changing. It's gorgeous.

(not mine either. but it's pretty...)

6. Apple Pie for breakfast. ;) Don't ask.

7. Thinking about sleeping in. *sigh*

8. Food. :D I know, I know...but I'm a swimmer.

9. Inside jokes. We have a ton of those going around our house right now...

10. Music! Especially this song:

11. CHRISTMAS. Can't wait. :)

Lots of love,
~Vivi~

P. S. Today at practice our coach made it an 11 practice. Every single set was of 11. And in the end we swam 111 yards for warm down. :P

30 October 2011

hurry up...

...'cause if you haven't entered Jo's giveaway yet, you only have today and tomorrow left!

The questions are fun to answer. So go do them. :P

Saturday Morning Daybook - October 29

hosted by Jo March
Date...October 29, 2011
Starting time...3:14 PM
Mood...happy, tired, stressed...all at once. :)
Outside my window...it's freezing cold. But sunny. (more on this later...I have some very exciting news. :P)
I'm thinking...about Robbie Woods...he's a 8 or 9-year-old autistic boy (who can't speak) who went missing last Sunday in a park near Richmond. Apparently he wandered away from his family while they were taking a walk. People have been searching the surrounding woods for days. More then 800 people showed up to help...and these woods were near a river...but yesterday they found him. ALIVE. God is amazing, don't ya think? :)
I'm currently reading...Sonnets for Lit. Nothing else, really.
I'm listening to...Gab typing. Ellie (the dog) walking. People in the kitchen.
I'm wearing...UVA sweat shirt, jeans...(again.)
I'm looking forward to...tonight! Watching a movie...
I'm hoping...that I get all my co-op work done well...
Yesterday, I...worked on my Research Paper notecards, did school, watched the final game of the World Series (poor Rangers...:( ), had a family overnight, and got totally excited when it started SNOWING!!! Yes, in October. I couldn't believe it. It was snow mixed with rain, so you could barely even see it. But it was still snow. We were only supposed to get rain (the mountains were supposed to get snow), but we got some snow!! Yay! "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas..."
I'm hungry for...I just had pound cake. :P
The song stuck inside my head is...O Come All Ye Faithful. Gab is singing it.
I love...snow, movies, hot chocolate...
I loathe...being blamed for stuff that I don't do. Yes, I need to work on that...
This week, my goal is...my Research Paper. Enough said. :) I need to figure it out more...
Did I meet last week's goal?...kinda.
