DC - Days 3 & 4 // All the rest ;)

I just wanted to get all this done, so I'm combining days 3 and 4 to make a nice big jumble of pictures for you. But first a little update from the Coulter home:

Swim meet went great! Gab especially did fantastic. (more specifics later) We all had so much fun swimming, especially against Faraview--the team that we knew a bunch of people on. Next week? Here we come Hollymead!

Somehow this morning Josie managed to hit her head on the side of the pool while diving in. Impressive, right? She had to get stitched up at Dad's office. All the while, Gab and I were stuck in a freezing cold classroom listening to a lady talk about preparing for the SAT and PSAT. *sigh* Yep. We missed the excitement.

Ok, now for all the pictures (I'm gonna just throw them at you :P)

Cute, huh? ;)

The original Wright Flyer, except the cloth and the tail thing, I think...

Yeah, I know...I look weird...:P
Bug when he fell asleep
Amelia Earhart's plane...yes, the original. Isn't that fun?

Her suit and goggles...
At Ford's Theater...remember this? Who knows their history? :P
The booth place that Lincoln got shot in...
While driving past the Washington monument...
The sunset from the hotel window (Day 3)
...with an airplane...
...getting darker...
:)
In front of the Capital
The Supreme Court building...
The big hallway thing...
...on a column outside...
...in front...
The Library of Congress. I know: FUN. :P

Recognize this from National Treasure, anyone?

IT. WAS. GORGEOUS.
You should go sometime; it's totally worth it.

Ok. That just about finishes it up. We also went to the Spy Museum, the National Archives (saw the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights), and the Holocaust Museum, but not photography was allowed there, so you don't get to see. :(

But...that was our trip to DC!

DC has some cool stuff. Love the Smithsonians. Have you been to the Air and Space in VA? I think it's better then the DC one...but that's just me. :)
