Well, apparently it's not as accurate as I thought it was. Not that y'all *aren't* like me, it's just 6 people in a row turning up to be most like me is a little...unexpected. :D

So...sorry! ;) Maybe in a couple years I'll make another one that's not so...biased (for lack of a better word :). But you had fun...right? So that's all that matters. :D

oh, how productive my day has been...

I've managed to wake up,

go to practice,

eat breakfast,

do my chores,

and get done 0% of the homework I need to.

I'll blame it on the fact that I'm sick. It's nice to have an excuse. Only, excuses won't really get me out of the mess I'll be in on Monday, when I'll wake up to a full week of more than 1 subject.

And it's not really nice that I actually am sick. With this awful cough-y, sore throat-y, stuffy nose-y, ache-y virus. Plus 4 days in a row of swim practice after 2 weeks off isn't really helping.

Oh, well.

At least it's Friday.

if you look at the downside, you'd mention this is 2 weeks later...

...but look at the bright side! (that I'm posting at all :P)

I wish I could say that I have a perfectly logical, understandable, and acceptable explanation for my absence...such as:

"I've been so incredibly busy that I haven't been on my laptop for a whole 2 weeks!"

or

"All my free time has been spent in prayer, fasting, and folding laundry in preparation for Holy Week and Easter"

or

"I've written like 5 different posts with tons of pictures, I just haven't had time to post them" (which is stupid, because pushing the 'publish' button takes about 2 seconds)

...but, alas (as they always say in books), my real reasons are not quite so noble. :D

The main reason was that I was too lazy to think up a post. My life was interesting enough...but who really wants to read about how I got new silver sparkly sandals from Target??

(that actually is true. And in case you're one of the few people that *does* care about that (yes, that's actually correct grammar. Gab would be proud. :P), here's what they look like)

I was too busy relaxing, sleeping in, and playing Draw Something on my iPod (this game is addicting. please get it and find my by typing in my username 'vivi coulter' :D). Oh yeah, plus I'm reading THG. Again. (desperate times call for desperate measures...)

But here I am! Back into swimming, school, orchestra, and normal busy life. And I LOVE IT. :) I don't care for school much (I just want that to be done), but I like my normal routine...know what's going on, and what'll happen each day. And lounging on the couch is not part of it. Plus I realized how much I missed swimming. You go for two weeks without exercising (except one time that left me sore for days), and you'd miss it too. ;)

Easter was awesome. Still is. After all, it's gonna be Easter for the next...what, 50 days? Don't you love how you even have an extra ten days to make up for all that lost sweet-eating time in Lent? *sigh* Life is good.

Anyway, we had a fantastic Easter Day. I can only hope that the next 46 days are half that good. :)

Where has 2012 gone so far? I feel like I was just in Atlanta visiting my cousins back in November. And now we're already 9 days into march, Lent is almost halfway done, and there are 2 Coulter birthdays coming up.

Wow.

And my schedule's completely packed.

Regional swim meets in SC,

UVA losing their basketball games,

Being anemic and vitamin D deficient,

Debating every couple weeks,

Having a surplus of Lit. reading,

Crazy family life...

How *is* your Christmas, everyone?

After all, it's still Christmas, right? Maybe not Christmas Day, but definitely still Christmas.

While we were at our Pappap's house this weekend, we got a "Merry Christmas!" as a good bye, and then a "Oh, no, it's actually not Christmas anymore. So Happy New Year!". And Gab and I just looked at each other.

Really?!?!

Since when has Christmas ended after December 25th?

And who says that after that day, it's over? The government? The calendars? The factories that make the calendars?

So. Just thought I'd clear that up, as it's been bothering me since yesterday afternoon. :)

Oh, and (I know this is completely out of the point, but...) have you seen this video yet? It's fantastic.

And, according to USA Today, this guy's only 16! Yeah, I know. We were all amazed that he actually sounds like a guy! Imagine that! Younger then Justin Bieber, and sounds twice as mature. Amazing. :P

i miss my sis

I guess a more appropriate title would be 'i miss my sisters', but 'i miss my sis' sounds better.

Here's the thing: Just last year, every day of every week we were all together. Gab, Jewel (Annette...she changed her name*), Josie, Bug, and I were all together every day. (one of the pluses of homeschooling, right?) And now...you're in the car with Bug, Mom, and Josie and realize that when you get home, there still won't be a Gab or a Jewel to say hi to. It's so sad. It makes me miss them. :(

You see, Gab's at CC three days a week for hours at a time; Jewel's going to private school...so Josie, Bug, and I are left at home. And the house seems so quiet. I mean, it's not like I'm playing or talking with them every moment. But after 9 years of being together every day, it just seems so weird that they're gone all the time.

I guess this is sorta a rambling post...but, just to let y'all know Jewel and Gab, I miss you when you're gone!

It's on the news everywhere: Osama bin Laden is dead! He's dead! Rejoice and be happy!

In the NY Times Pres. Obama says that "justice has been done". The article also says...

Wow. That's a lot of celebration just 'cause America killed someone.

All over I'm hearing/seeing stuff...from suggestions that yesterday should be a national holiday to people celebrating joyfully that Al-Qaeda's sought after leader is finally dead.

And I'm left standing here wondering what to think. Yes, I know this guy was cruel. He was a killer. I know that. But then I'm left to think, What would Jesus do? Would he have rejoiced that America finally has "justice"? Would he have declared the the death of a man is cause for celebration? A what happened to love your enemies as yourself?

There's such thing as 'righteous anger'. I think that the US had reason to be mad with Osama bin Laden...but I don't know if killing him is justice.

I guess killing him is the only way to save others from being killed by him...but still. I don't know.

Don't get me wrong: I know full well that this guy was NOT a good guy. I'm not trying to defend him or anything. I'm just suggesting something...

So...what do you think?

Rambling...

I'm done with school (for today)! I know, it's early...scarily early. Like I'm never done with school this early. I like being done with school...but then I have nothing to do! I'm so used to having tons of schoolwork, then when I'm finally done I don't have much to do. I could read, but I'm just reading a biography/theological/pretty good book. I mean, during Lent I decided to try to read books like that. I read unPlanned and now I'm reading He Leadeth Me. Both are very good books, but something about them doesn't make them as...exciting and fun to read as...Waking Rose, for example.

Anyway...right now I'm in a quiet house. Gab's running, Josie's reading, Mom's in the basement exercising, and Annette's taunting a wasp through the window...trying to find a way to spray it with wasp killer without getting stung.

I guess this was just a rambling post...bye!

(somehow Annette is trying to run outside and in, getting all her stuff, without attracting the wasp's attention...)
