DC - Day 2 // The Basilica and Air and Space

Day 2 was The Basilica of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception (where we went to Mass) and the Dulles Air and Space Museum. This was probably the favorite day. The sights were fabulous. Starting with the basilica...

So that was The Basilica. Isn't it pretty?

Then we went to The Air and Space Museum...the one near Dulles. That was cool because they had a bunch of "1 and only" planes. :P

This is the plane that dropped the bombs on Japan...yes, the very one. It was restored.

Umm...yeah.
Gab and I being...weird. :P

Oh, this one's cool! This is a plane that can split down the middle and act as a car too...
The balloon-y thingy that came down from...Apollo 11 or 13 or something that landed on the moon...
In front of the museum...
If you'll notice, Bug decided to choose his on place to pose...
Annette and Bug-bug (isn't this so cute?!) right by the museum...
Them + me :P
Bug started...uhh...not smiling then. ;)
My attempt on getting the night view from the hotel window...it's not so good, because I used my iPod camera. :)

So. Day 2. All done. Unfortunately, on the third and fourth days we went to some museums that we couldn't take pictures in, but I still have a bunch of other pictures, so I'll still post 'em up.

OOH! VIVI!! When we went to DC, we were there on either Memorial Day weekend or Veterans day weekend; can't remember which. Anyhoo...we were there when EWTN was filming the Mass live! When we got home, we watched it on TV and we found ourselves in the church!!
